I finally got my hands on the highly talked-about SUCHIYU 10101! Straight out of the box, this 1/10 scale monster truck looks incredibly aggressive with its striking red body and massive 43cm length. Today, I took it off-road to see if it truly lives up to the hype.

Flipping it over, the stock build quality blew me away. The PA nylon chassis is reinforced with an aluminum I-shaped upper deck and aluminum chassis plates. The drivetrain is absolutely bulletproof for its class: a full-time 4WD system packed with 26 ball bearings, featuring medium carbon steel front CVDs, rear dogbones, and a center driveshaft. It even rocks fully sealed powder metallurgy gear diffs! Seeing this much metal in the driveline means it’s built for serious bashing.

I strapped in the stock 7.4V 2300mAh battery and hit the throttle. Powered by a 550 brushed motor and a 2S 60A ESC, the instant torque effortlessly kicks up a storm of dirt. Hitting its top speed of 33km/h on loose gravel feels incredibly raw and powerful.
The biggest surprise, however, is the handling. It comes stock with adjustable aluminum oil shocks and a double wishbone independent suspension. Combined with a massive 40mm ground clearance, it absorbs bumps and lands jumps smoothly without that cheap, bouncy feeling. The 110mm TPR rubber tires (with foam inserts) grip the dirt perfectly, while the 6kg servo and zinc alloy steering knuckles make cornering sharp and responsive.
After about 12 minutes of hard, full-throttle bashing, the battery finally hit the low-voltage cutoff.
The Verdict:
SUCHIYU 10101 is an absolute beast that delivers pure off-road fun. With its heavy-duty metal driveline, excellent oil shocks, and raw power, it’s a steal. Whether you're a beginner looking for your first tough basher or a veteran wanting a fun, stress-relief rig, this red monster is absolutely worth it!
